Soldered Jewelry Care Guide
All handmade soft soldered jewelry is wearable art that will last forever with proper care.
Wearing
I design my jewelry to be comfortable for all-day wear, but please bear in mind that solder spikes can snag fabric or irritate bare skin. Spikes can be dulled with a nail file.
Avoid getting soldered pieces wet. Remove before sleeping or exercise.
Cleaning
Clean with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.
Breaking
Soft solder jewelry uses soft metal, primarily tin. While tin itself is sufficiently strong for jewelry, it is much more malleable than common jewelry metals such as silver. Nonetheless, I take care that everything I sell is ready for daily wear (read my quality testing guide here).
More sculptural pieces can require greater delicacy when handling. Please check the care instructions for your piece before purchasing for any special instructions.
If despite taking care you find that your piece becomes damaged, please see my repair policy.
